On a clear day, the peak of Denali greets you as you begin your journey along Park Road. The Tundra Wilderness tour is 7-8 hours long, is fully narrated by an educated naturalist, and travels 53 miles into the park to the Toklat River rest area.

This tour reaches 4,000 feet above sea level and gets within 30 miles of Mt. McKinley. From Stony Hill Overlook, the entire mountain, from base to summit is visible. Your driver will stop to point out geographical features and the area's wildlife, while you enjoy the comfort of the modified school bus. Experience the magnificent sights of Polychrome Pass and the Toklat River.

There are many opportunities to see moose, caribou, grizzly bears and dall sheep in their natural habitats. Rest stops and opportunities to get some photos will be made every 1-1.5 hours. Includes: National Park Service Entrance & utility pass-through fee, and Complimentary snack and beverage

Teklanika Tour

The winter months are harsh in Interior Alaska, and can sometimes take a hard toll on the Park Road. While the road corridor thaws, there is a shortened version of the Tundra Wilderness Tour, The Teklanika Tundra Wilderness Tour.

This is 4-5 hours long; it's fully narrated, and travels to mile 30 of the Park Road to Teklanika River Overlook. The Teklanika Tundra Wilderness Tour will get you within 55 miles of Mt. McKinley at the Primrose Overlook where only the top 1/3 of the mountain is visible.

There are many opportunities for wildlife viewing; moose, caribou, grizzly bears and dall sheep can be found in their natural habitats. Your educated tour driver narrates as you explore Denali National Park while enjoying the comfort of the modified school bus. Rest stops will be made every 1-1.5 hours.
