Arrive in Fairbanks, Alaska's largest Interior city. Book an excursion, or explore shops, museums and restaurants at your leisure. Overnight in Fairbanks.
Travel north on a flightseeing tour with Northern Alaska Tour Company, and marvel at the vast and remote land below. Cross over the rugged Brooks Mountain Range and the wild expanses of Gates of the Arctic National Park. Overnight in Fairbanks.
Take the Denali Star, the Alaska Railroad's flagship train, south to Denali National Park & Preserve. Watch for views of Denali and keep an eye out for wildlife. Overnight in Denali.
Travel into Denali National Park & Preserve
on the Denali Backcountry Adventure, a narrated tour of the park by bus. Your guide will interpret the history, flora and fauna as you make your way to the heart of the park. Overnight in Denali.
Spend the morning exploring the area before boarding the Denali Star Train for Talkeetna, which is the primary launch point for Denali climbing expeditions. Talkeetna is home to world-class flightseeing and a charming Main Street. Overnight in Talkeetna.
Enjoy a morning flightseeing tour for an up-close view of Denali and the Alaska Range. Wander the shops and galleries of downtown Talkeetna or visit Denali Brewing Co. for a sampling of Alaska craft beer. Depart on the Denali Star Train to Anchorage. Overnight in Anchorage.
Depart early on the Coastal Classic Train to Seward. Upon arrival, cruise Kenai Fjords National Park. See hanging and tidewater glaciers, sea otters, sea lions and perhaps even a whale. Lunch included. Evening train departure to Anchorage for overnight stay.
