Arctic Circle to Glacier Bay 11 Days, 10 Nights

An 11-day/10- night Arctic Circle to Glacier Bay tour, encompassing nearly every must-see in the state!

The tour begins in Fairbanks with a quick flight above the Arctic Circle before heading south to Denali National Park & Preserve and Denali Backcountry Lodge.

Next, travelers continue south to Talkeetna, then on to Seward and, ultimately, via plane to Glacier Bay National Park in Southeast Alaska.

Along the way, visitors will go sportfishing, hike, pan for gold, bike, view Alaska’s legendary wildlife, raft past towering glaciers and go dog mushing, among many other itinerary stops. And as if two of America’s finest national parks weren’t enough, passengers will even disembark for a day cruise in Kenai Fjords National Park near Seward.

Day 1: Arrange your own transportation to Fairbanks. Overnight in Fairbanks.

Day 2: Riverboat Discovery, AM or PM departure. Fly to the Arctic Circle with Northern Alaska Tour Company, 7:00 pm - midnight. Stay overnight in Fairbanks.

Day 3: Denali Star Train - Fairbanks to Denali, 8:15 am - 12: 15 pm. Travel deep into the heart of Denali National Park. Stay overnight at the Denali Backcountry Lodge. Includes dinner at the lodge.

Day 4: Spend the day hiking, fishing, biking or panning for gold in this beautiful wilderness setting. Overnight at the Denali Backcountry Lodge. Includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Day 5: After breakfast, get ready for more wildlife viewing as you travel the Park Road to the train depot. Denali Star Train - Denali to Talkeetna, 12:15 pm - 4:40 pm. Stay overnight at the Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge.

Day 6: Talkeetna River Rafting Odyssey, a 5-mile gentle float tour. Raingear and snacks included, noon - 2:00 pm. Denali Star Train, Talkeetna to Anchorage, 4:40 pm - 8:00 pm. Overnight in Anchorage.

Day 7: Coastal Classic Train - Anchorage to Seward, 6:45 am - 11:05 am. Kenai Fjords National Park Cruise, 11:30 am - 5:30 pm. Overnight in Seward.

Day 8: The Real Alaska Tour, includes dog sled ride, lunch at an Alaskan roadhouse, and Exit Glacier Tour, 11:05 am - 5:00 pm. Coastal Classic Train - Seward to Anchorage, 6:00 pm - 10:15 pm. Stay overnight in Anchorage.

Day 9: Fly to Glacier Bay on Alaska Airlines. Overnight at the Glacier Bay Lodge.

Day 10: Spend the day exploring Glacier Bay National Park from a high-speed catamaran, narrated by a National Park Ranger. Includes lunch and complimentary beverage service. Stay the night at Glacier Bay Lodge.

Day 11: Fly to Juneau late afternoon on Alaska Airlines. Arrange for your own transportation home.
