Option 1 Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Seward. Depart on the 11:30 am day cruise to Kenai Fjords National Park with Kenai Fjords Tours. This 6-hour cruise will take you to the face of the glacier with wildlife viewing opportunities – whales, harbor seals, sea lions, otters, bears, mountain goats, puffins, and more! Travel by train to Anchorage aboard the Coastal Classic Train, the most scenic stretch of the Alaska Railroad route, 6 pm - 10:15 pm. Overnight at Comfort Inn.
Day 2: Denali Star Train, Anchorage to Talkeetna, 8:15 am - 11:05 am. Mahay’s Wilderness Jetboat Adventure, noon - 2 pm. For a little extra, opt for an afternoon flightseeing tour to Mt. McKinley. Visit downtown Talkeetna and enjoy first-class accommodations at the Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge.
Day 3: Denali Star Train to Denali, 11:20 am - 3:45 pm. Spend the night at Grande Denali Lodge.
Day 4: Travel deep into the backcountry of Denali National Park on the Tundra Wilderness Tour. (6-8 hours) Overnight at Grande Denali Lodge.
Day 5: Return to Anchorage on the Denali Star Train, 12:45 pm - 8:00 pm. Stay overnight at the Comfort Inn.

Option 1 Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Whittier. Depart at 12:45 pm on the Glacier Discovery Train to Spencer Glacier. Step off the train for a 1.3-mile guided walk with a ranger in the Placer River Valley with fabulous views of the glacier. Spend 3 hours exploring the area before you catch the train back to Portage where you will transfer to a motorcoach for the trip to Anchorage. Arrive Anchorage at 6:45 pm. Overnight at Comfort Inn.
