Capital Projects Public Meetings

The Alaska Railroad recently concluded a round of public meetings designed to introduce the public to annual plans for capital improvements. Meetings include static displays on about 30 major projects, and project managers are in attendence to answer questions. 2010 Program of Project (POP) Open Houses held this year:

  • Anchorage - 4:00 - 6:30 p.m., January 20, 2010, at the Anchorage Historic Depot (Ship Creek basin), at 411 First Avenue. (Approximately 120 attended).
     
  • Wasilla - 4:00 - 6:30 p.m., January 21, 2010, at Evangelo's Restaurant off the Parks Highway in south Wasilla (Approximately 122 attended).
     
  • Fairbanks - 4:00 - 6:30 p.m., January 26, 2010, at the Alaska Railroad Depot, 1745 Johansen Expressway (Approximately 125 attended).
     
  • Seward - 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., February 19, 2010, at Breeze Inn. Held in conjunction with Seward Chamber membership luncheon, at which ARRC was the guest speaker, Noon-1:00 p.m. (Approximately 26 attended the open house and 30 attended the luncheon).
