Summer Trains Onboard Dining
Onboard food, beverage and bar service is available for purchase on our three main summer trains, the Coastal Classic, Denali Star and Glacier Discovery.
Our summer trains are cashless. For your convenience, The Alaska Railroad accepts credit cards only for any onboard purchases. We accept all major credit cards including debit and pre-paid cards that can be run as a credit.
To accommodate our customers who do not currently have a debit or credit card, prepaid meal vouchers are available for purchase.

Full-service onboard dining in the lower level of the dome cars is offered aboard the Coastal Classic and the Denali Star.
And all three summer trains feature the Wilderness Café which offers hot and cold meal selections to eat on the go. Prepaid meal vouchers are available for those wanting the onboard dining experience without the hassle.
Guests may be seated four to a table on busy days to best accommodate all guests onboard. The Wilderness Cafe is open to anyone who prefers lighter fare and is available on all trains with the exception of the Hurricane Turn.

Aurora Winter Train
The Aurora Winter Train accepts cash and credit cards for onboard purchases.
Breakfast is served onboard until 10:30am and lunch and dinner items are served from 11am.
For breakfast, choose from light selections such as cereal, fresh fruit, and parfait or enjoy a complete hot meal like our Country Starter with biscuits & gravy, eggs, and reindeer sausage or smoked bacon.
Lunch and dinner options include salad, burgers, and pasta. We also offer beer, wine and mixed drinks for purchase onboard.
