You could also make your own weekend getaway to Talkeetna. Book a Roundtrip on the Aurora Winter Train from Anchorage, enjoy the flight and stay Saturday night in Talkeetna, and then catch the train back on Sunday. This trip is also possible using the winter Hurricane Turn:
