From Portage, ride a brief shuttle over to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, Alaska’s premier rehabilitation center for injured and orphaned animals. Enjoy an hour and a half of walking and driving options to view the animals: the center is home to brown and black bears, moose, caribou, wood bison and more. Guides are knowledgeable about the animals and provide an interesting and fun tour for all ages. After touring the wildlife center, return to Portage to board the Glacier Discovery Train and continue on to the Spencer Glacier Whistle Stop or scenic Grandview.
