The Alaska Railroad Corporation has resumed the Depot rental program for the Bill Sheffield Alaska Railroad Depot (Anchorage Airport) and Seward Intermodal Facility.

To rent the Bill Sheffield Alaska Railroad Depot, call Real Estate at 907.265.2466. To rent the Alaska Railroad Seward Dale Lyndsey Intermodal Facility, call the Seward Port Manager at 907.265.2209.

The Bill Sheffield Alaska Railroad Depot is located at the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport. This depot features an excellent view of Anchorage and state-of-the-art lighting.

Availability

Year-round, with some blackout dates due to passenger train schedule.

Rental Fee

Hourly Rate $400/hour

  • Day time events (ends by 6:00 PM) 4 hour minimum ($1,600)
  • All day/evening events 6 hour minimum ($2,400)
  • Summer Events (May – September) have an additional $600 fee
  • Security deposit required
    • Events without alcohol $1,000
    • Events with alcohol $1,500
  • To hold a date requires 50% deposit of rental fee
  • Remainder due 30 days prior to 1st day of event
  • Security deposit also due 30 days prior to 1st day of event

Your Rental Fee includes:

  • All site visits during regularly scheduled depot showing (Wednesday afternoons only)
  • Set-up/take down of furniture from our furniture inventory
  • Un-staffed preparation kitchen with oven & stove, fridge, food warmers, ice maker, dish washer, coffee maker 
  • Security provided by ARRC per Agreement with an additional fee

Catering

You may use your preferred caterer or self-cater the event. An onsite kitchen is available for your use and is included in the rental fee. You would be responsible for cleaning it and leaving it in its original state.

Decorating

You are responsible for providing decorations. Also, existing decorations put up by ARRC (holiday lights, etc.) cannot be taken down.

  • Decorations have to be put up and taken down without harming the building
  • Generally, masking tape is the only adhesive allowed
    • No nails, hooks, tacks, or screws
  • Helium balloons, confetti and glitter are prohibited
  • Candles must be pre-approved
  •  No open flame devices

Extra Charges

  • Unscheduled site visits $50/hour
  • These will be deducted directly from your security deposit at rates noted:
    • Additional clean up due to unusual circumstances $50/hour
    • Additional hours not in the agreement $400/hour
    • Any damages occurred or policies not followed: cost for repair

The ARRC Seward Intermodal Facility is ARRC’s largest facility available for public use. This facility is located on the ARRC Seward Passenger Dock.

With remarkably open space, the facility can accommodate a very large gathering. It features a thirty-foot ceiling, heated concrete floors and walls decorated with scenic banners.
